A tournament dominated by Ale and Marta with a lot of golden moments

There won't be any women's action at the Gran Canaria Open, but the World Padel Tour wanted to include the girls and that's why we've organized an exhibition match on Sunday the 31st, before the men's final, with the presence of the number 2 and 3 pairings in the ranking: Marta Marrero – Alejandra Salazar vs. Patty Llaguno – Eli Amatriain.
The twins' victory in Valladolid has brought back some excitement to the women's tour. The Sanchez Alayeto twins have cut down the deficit at the top of the World Padel Tour rankings in what is an exciting battle for first place.
Registration for the next two tournaments, the Monte Carlo Padel Master and the Joma Costa del Sol Challenger, opens tomorrow. Registration for the Gran Canaria Open is also open until midday tomorrow, this event only including a men's draw.
ADVANCE.- In a quick final, Majo and Mapi Sanchez Alayeto won the Valladolid Open, trofeo UVa, winning 6-1, 6-1 against Gemma Triay and Lucia Sainz. The men's final starts at 11:30 between the two best pairings on the World Padel Tour.
Marta Talavan and Angela Caro have qualified for the quarter final stage once again and will join the seven best pairings on tour. A cracking match will get the ball rolling on Friday at the Plaza Mayor. Majo and Mapi Sanchez Alayeto vs. Cata Tenorio and Victoria Iglesias.
The favourites in the women's draw quickly progressed to the last sixteen. Twins Majo and Mapi Sanchez Alayeto start their campaing at the Valladolid Open against Maricarmen Villalba and Carla Mesa, while Marta Marrero and Alejandra Salazar will face youngsters Tamara Icardo and Ariana Sanchez.
Miguel Angel Solbes and Christian Fuster confirmed the good form they showed in this season's Challengers by qualifying for the main draw of an Open for the first time this season, while Javier Limones and Victor Ruiz made a brilliant debut as a pairing by joining the best 28 pairings at the Valladolid Open.
The final of the Joma Barcelona Challenger will pit together the top tow seeds: Cata Tenorio and Victoria Iglesias against Lucia Sainz and Gemma Triay.
The top four seeds at the Joma Challenger Barcelona have qualified for the semifinals. The number one seeds, Tenorio-Iglesias will face Marta Ortega and Alba Galán, while the other clash will be Sainz-Triay vs. Brito-Alonso.
Marta Talavan and Angela Carro defeated the number 1 pairing in the Argentine rankings, Silvana Campus and Virginia Riera, to qualify for the quarter finals of the Joma Barcelona Challenger alongside the favourites.
