The winning pair of Maxi Sánchez and Lucho Capra have announced they will reunite as a pairing for the remainder of the 2022 season.

The Argentinians played for all but one tournament in 2021, winning the Valladolid Master. While going their separate ways at the end of the season, they will now join forces once more going forward after four events apart.

Their first event together will be the Tau Cerámica Albacete Challenger this week, where they are the first-seeded pair.

Maxi Sánchez and Capra in 2022

Maxi Sánchez and Capra started the 2022 season with Pablo Lima and Javi Ruiz respectively. While Maxi and Pablo reached the quarter-finals in all four tournaments, they never took the next step.

The two former number ones, who have a combined 71 World Padel Tour tournament wins, decided to go their separate ways in the almost month-long split between Alicante and Brussels.

Ruiz and Capra too made several quarter-finals, and too, never made the semis in the four Opens. The eighth-seeded pairing called it a day after Alicante, where they fell after three sets in the quarter-finals.
