In this occasion, the prestigious automotive firm CUPRA has been the last one to join the best padel in the world as Official International Sponsor in 2019 and of all competitions (national and international) organized by WPT during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Cupra will be present this year in Portugal, United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, France and Belgium. The link between CUPRA and World Padel Tour will be even more ambitious after the second year of union. From 2020 until the completion of the 2021 season, the automotive brand will become the exclusive premium sponsor worldwide.The agreement was formalized on Wednesday at the headquarters of CUPRA and was attended by Luca de Meo, President of SEAT and the board of directors of CUPRA, and Antonino Labate, Director of Strategy, Business Development and operations of the brand, as well as José Luis Serrano, CEO of WPT and Mario Hernando, General Director of the Circuit."Brands have an increasingly important role in professional sports. Launched at the end of 2018, the first model of CUPRA has boosted sales of the brand with more than 3,000 units sold since its introduction in the market. Its great reception has meant that the new brand has sold 10,300 cars in the first five months of 2019, 76.8% more than between January and May of last year.
