World Padel Tour will not arrive in Chiclana (Cadiz)

World Padel Tour has decided to suspend the tournament planned to take place between June 28 and July 5 at Chiclana, Cadiz, the reason being the inability to carry out the agreement with the City Council, closed since December last year and ratified in March 2015, during a circuit tournament in San Fernando.

The lack of commitment and institutional guarantees necessary for the organization of a tournament of this type within ten days of its start, have forced World Padel Tour  to dismiss the celebration of this official tournament of the circuit. Even more after the success of the Estrella Damm Valladolid Open, a tournament that has generated a direct economic impact on the Castilian-Leon city of over a million euros, contributing to an increase in tourism, and hotel occupancy of over 90% and the positive momentum of local restaurants and recreation and leisure areas of the city center, certainly the best news for a City overcome with padel throughout this weekend.

World Padel Tour  will continue to bet on Andalusia, just as intended in its official calendar, and will return to Andalusian territory to celebrate the Cerevezas Victoria Malaga Masters to be held from July 26 to August 2 at the capital of the Costa del Sol. Previously, in early July, we will land in the Balearic Islands, ready for the celebration of the  Estrella Damm Palma de Mallorca Open.

The fans who had already purchased their tickets in advance for the Chiclana tournament via the website of World Padel Tour will automatically receive a refund, while those who acquired them from associated clubs will be refunded starting Monday at the same place they were bought, deeply regretting the inconveniences that we might have caused.

WPT will soon announce the new headquarters and dates for the tournament which will come to replace Chiclana.
