World Padel Tour will celebrate four tournaments in August and September

Given the special sanitary circumstances, the organization of the Professional Circuit has opted to partially confirm the 2020 calendar in order to have greater maneuverability in case the evolution of the pandemic forces modifications of venues or dates. Apart from the already announced Adeslas Open, Valencia, Sardinia (Italy) and Menorca will be the cities that host the next tournaments in August and September.

The Adeslas Open, as confirmed a few days ago, will be the last closed-door tournament at the moment. With it the competition will start in the month of August and will take place on the stage that has hosted the professional padel in such difficult moments: the Madrid Arena.

The month of September will kick off in the Fuente de San Luis pavilion, home of the Estrella Damm Valencia Open, to be held from August 31 to September 6. As will be mandatory in most tests for the moment, the capacity will be reduced and subject to mandatory sanitary conditions.

Immediately after, the World Padel Tour will travel to Cagliari, where the first professional tournament in history will be held in Italy, from September 7 to 13. The Sardinia Open will end a long wait that culminates with the long-awaited presence of Italy on the calendar of the Professional Circuit.

Finally, the month of September will close at a competitive level in the Balearic Islands. The Estrella Damm Menorca Open will take place from September 21 to 27 in Mahón. With a limited capacity, the Pavelló Menorca will be able to enjoy the World Padel Tour show for the second year.

The Valladolid Master, that had to be held the last week of August, is finally off the calendar given the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. The iconic Plaza Mayor in Valladolid will once again be the scene of the WPT in 2021. Likewise, the Yucatan Exhibition, scheduled for mid-August in Mérida, is postponed for the same reasons until March 2021.

As the date approaches and depending on the evolution of the health situation, World Padel Tour will communicate the events to be disputed in the last quarter of 2020.
