From June 28 to July 5, the Madrid Arena will host the event that will mean the return of World Padel Tour after the mandatory stop due to the health crisis. Three months after the inaugural tournament, the Cervezas Victoria Marbella Master, the best padel in the world returns to activity. The Estrella Damm Open will host the expected return of the best players in the world with the aim and hope of overcome the global pandemic. The tournament, as required by the authorities, will be held behind closed doors, so public access to the courts will not be allowed. Both World Padel Tour and Madrid City Council, a key entity for its collaborative spirit in these complicated circumstances, have taken the mandatory sanitary measures to ensure that the event is held with all the guarantees required.The organization of the Circuit, after carefully evaluating all the scenarios and based on the cancellations and postponements forced by the pandemic, is completing the recomposition of a new official 2020 calendar that includes some modifications to both dates and venues and which will be announced in the following days. It can be confirmed, however, that the second test of this expected return will be the Ayuntamiento de Madrid Open, to be held between July 12 and 19 at the same venue as the Estrella Damm Open.The Madrid Arena will host from June 28 to July 5 the Estrella Damm Open, and later the Ayuntamiento de Madrid Open, events that mark the return of the World Padel Tour and key events in history, both of the organization of the Circuit and of the sport itself . Located on Madrid's Avenida de Portugal, the Madrid Arena Multipurpose Pavilion has become an icon for the world of padel. Its versatility was key for the World Padel Tour to seek the complicity of the Madrid City Council in finding a venue for the most important event on the world calendar -the Estrella Damm Master Final- in 2018. Since then, the Madrid Arena has broke records of attendance at all WPT events. This is why, in these difficult times, the support and closeness of the Madrid City Council and the Madrid Arena are seen as a clear and strong commitment by the city to one of the sports that most excites all audiences. As it is one of the most functional venues on the international scene, the Madrid Arena will host up to 5 courts, in which the Estrella Damm Open and Ayuntamiento de Madrid Open matches will be played from their previous rounds to the finals.
