Both World Padel Tour and Madrid City Council, a key entity for its collaborative spirit in these complicated circumstances, have taken the mandatory sanitary measures to ensure that the event is held with all the guarantees required.The organization of the Circuit, after carefully evaluating all the scenarios and based on the cancellations and postponements forced by the pandemic, is completing the recomposition of a new official 2020 calendar that includes some modifications to both dates and venues and which will be announced in the following days. It can be confirmed, however, that the second test of this expected return will be the Ayuntamiento de Madrid Open, to be held between July 12 and 19 at the same venue as the Estrella Damm Open.The Madrid Arena will host from June 28 to July 5 the Estrella Damm Open, and later the Ayuntamiento de Madrid Open, events that mark the return of the World Padel Tour and key events in history, both of the organization of the Circuit and of the sport itself . Located on Madrid's Avenida de Portugal, the Madrid Arena Multipurpose Pavilion has become an icon for the world of padel. Its versatility was key for the World Padel Tour to seek the complicity of the Madrid City Council in finding a venue for the most important event on the world calendar -the Estrella Damm Master Final- in 2018. Since then, the Madrid Arena has broke records of attendance at all WPT events.
