The second day of competition in the women's category saw the tournament reach the final qualifying phase. The Club Principadel staged 16 pairings looking for a place in the next round of the Vallbanc Andorra La Vella Open 2018.

Araceli Martínez and Ariadna Cañellas continue in the hunt with a 7-6 / 6-2 victory over Marta Quevedo and Andrea Colinas. Their next opponents are Sara Pujals and Alix Collombonwho grabbed a 6-3 / 6-0 victory against Julia Polo and Aitana García Román.

Also just one match away from the main draw are Nuria Vivancos and Alicia Prellezo after they knocked out Laura Clergue and Laia Bonilla, and they've now put together their best run at a tournament after claiming their third win of the tournament. Their opponents for a place in the main draw are Teresa Anillo and Helena Wyckaertwho had a rough ride to defeat Anna Cortiles and Jessica Castelló 6-7 / 7-6 / 6-2.

On to the next round are María Pérez Luján and Clara Teresa Siveriowho thrashed Tamara del Pino and Sara Marcos 6-0 / 6-1. They've set up a meeting with Raquel Piltcher and Marta González de la Fuenteas they won 7-6 / 6-3 against Nicole Traviesa and Cristina Bala.

Cristina Gomis and Nuria Rovira are in the final round after winning 6-4 / 6-1 against Melania Merino and Esther Carnicero and their final hurdle is Marina Martínez Lobo and Carmen Goenagawho won 2-6 / 6-4 / 6-1 against Andreína de los Santos and Reyes Medina.
