After comfortably taking the first set 6-2, they were surprised in the second (6-4) and ended up taking the clash by a break in the deciding set. Awaiting them in the last 16 are Aris Patiniotis and Toni Bueno who took a brilliant win against German Tamame and Andres Britos by 6-4, 7-6.Another of the interesting encounters of the day included four Andalusians: Rubio-Ruiz vs. Gaspar-Gonzalez. The win went to the couple from Seville and Granada by 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
