Swede Daniel Windahl has made it out of qualifying for the third time in the 2022 season as he and José Solano qualified for the Menorca Open 2022.

Disputed at the Pavello Esportiu ses Canaletes, four pairs would join the top 24 seeded duo's on Monday evening.

Here is what happened in all four qualifying finals!

Cepero/Méndez vs Menéndez/Domínguez

The first match of the evening would be between newly-formed duo Álvaro Cepero and Rafa Mendez, who played Jaime Menéndez and Facundo Dominguez.

It would be the former couple who would come out on top, despite Menéndez and Domínguez taking the opening set 1-6.

Cepero and Méndez came back in style, taking the second set 6-3 and the third by 6-4 to complete the comeback and book their place in the main draw.

Solano/Windahl vs Perino/Alba

Next in action were José Solano and Daniel Windahl, the Spanish-Swedish combination facing Denis Perino and Sergio Alba.

Perino and Alba are one of the highest-seeded couples in the qualifying stages but could not express this on the court as the opening set went to the tie-break.

Solano and Windahl, who made the round of 16 in the Amsterdam Open, would take this tie-break 7-6(2) and take control from there.

With fewer problems in the second set, Windahl and Solano made it two main draws in the last three tournaments as they won 7-6(2) 6-2.

Bueno/Quílez vs Ayats/Jiménez

The solid couple of Toni Bueno and Marc Quilez had next to no trouble in their effort to make the main draw, facing Arnau Ayats and young José Jiménez.

Bueno and Quílez played with great determination and kept up the pressure on their opponents, and took about an hour to take the whole match.

It would finish 6-2 6-2 to the Spaniards, who make their 11th main draw of the season as they continue their impressive campaign.

Del Castillo/García vs Goenaga/Bautista

Finally, a big surprise was on the cards as Mario del Castillo and Cristobal Garcia fought for a ticket in the main draw against Enrique Goenaga and Jairo Bautista.

García had never made the main draw before but that drought would come to an end on Monday, as he and Del Castillo looked in great form.

The Spaniards looked the better side from start to finish against their fellow countrymen, and managed to take the match 6-4 6-2.

Ranked 104th in the world, Cristóbal García will now fight against the very best in the world from Tuesday onwards.
