Coming in at number three, we go to the quarter-final between eventual tournament winners Martín Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro when they played seven seed Maxi Sánchez and Luciano Capra.

A good rally saw Di Nenno, who grew up just half an hour from the venue La Rural, exit the court and finish the point in style.

Staying in the quarter-finals, the number two point took place when number ones Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón played Argentinian royalty Fernando Belasteguín and his teenage partner Arturo Coello.

Despite being 42 years of age, Bela showed he is still one of the sharpest minds in the Circuit. When Galán's smash went out of the court, the Argentine anticipated it, and finished off the point with the most delicate of touches.

The number one point also featured the number ones, in the semi-final where they would eventually lose out to Agustín Tapia and Sanyo Gutiérrez.
