Valladolid Open: The draw is completed with different names

Miguel Angel Solbes and Christian Fuster confirmed the good form they showed in this season's Challengers by qualifying for the main draw of an Open for the first time this season, while Javier Limones and Victor Ruiz made a brilliant debut as a pairing by joining the best 28 pairings at the Valladolid Open.

Valladolid Open: The draw is completed with different names

An incredible amount of people packed out centre court at the Ciudad de Raqueta to witness the four decisive qualifying matches at the Valladolid Open, trofeo UVa.

One of the most consistent pairings in recent tournaments, Raul Diaz and Raul Marcos, qualified once again for the main draw after beating Marcelo Capitani and Jesus Espejo in three sets (6-3, 5-7, 6-3).

In the tightest match of the day, Miguel Angel Solbes and Christian Fuster came back from a set down and won in an exciting tie break against Jacobo Blanco and Javier Redondo (3-6, 7-6, 7-6).

Fuster: We're a tough pairing

The couple from Alicante and Murcia advanced from pre-qualifying all the way to the main draw where they'll take on Jose Antonio Garcia Diestro and Ruben Rivera.

Analysing the match, Fuster said "it was very tough, because we lost the first set, won the second in a tiebreak and then we wasted a number of break points. Fortunately we closed it out in the tiebreak".

He's started playing with Solbes again this year after having broken up half way through last season. "We've been friends since we were kids and that helps a lot. Results are going our way and we hope to continue like this".

Fuster defined the pairing as "two very aggressive players, with very similar games, we hit the ball hard and volley well. I think we're a tough pairing for anyone and it's difficult to break our serve".

Great debut for Limones-Ruiz

Javier Limones and Victor Ruiz Remedios had their best debut possible after qualifying for the main draw. In the first round of qualifying they defeated Federico Perez Millan and Juan Restivo (6-4, 7-6) and in the afternoon they got the better of Juan Cruz Belluati and Alejandro Galan by 6-4, 6-4.

The last pairing to seal their qualification were German Tamame and Andres Britos. It was another very even match which finally went the Argentines' way against Cristian German Gutierrez and Antonio Luque in three sets (7-6, 3-6, 6-3).
