Valladolid Master quarter-finals: Local boy Coello puts on show

The Caja Rural de Zamora Valladolid Master 2022 quarter-finals on Friday saw more surprises take place heading into the weekend.

Local boy Arturo Coello, together with Fernando Belasteguín, gave his home crowd plenty to cheer about, while other top seeds continued to impress.

Chingotto/Tello (4) vs Lima/Stupaczuk (5)

The first of the four quarter-finals on Friday saw a battle for the four-seed take place as Fede Chingotto and Juan Tello took on winners last week Pablo Lima and Franco Stupaczuk.

 

Lebrón/Galán (1) vs Rico/Gutiérrez

Number ones Juan Lebrón and Alejandro Galán kicked off the afternoon shift as they faced tournament surprise Josete Rico and Agustín Gutiérrez.

 

Di Nenno/Navarro (2) vs Coello/Belasteguín (8)

The third ticket to the semi-finals was disputed between the two-seed Martín Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro, who played against Fernando Belasteguín and local boy Arturo Coello.

 

Gutiérrez/Tapia (3) vs Bergamini/Ruiz

Finally, Sanyo Gutiérrez and Agustín Tapia looked to make their tenth consecutive semi-final against underdogs Lucas Bergamini and Víctor Ruiz.
