An attractive season on the women's World Padel Tour is building up. New pairings striving for glory are coming together, such as the duo formed by Argentine international Valeria Pavón and the youngster from Caceres, Paula José MaríaThis movement, which involves one of the few left handers on tour (Cecilia Reiter and Paula Jose Maria are the only left handers in the world's top 50) will force Valeria Pavón to move to the backhand court.

Valeria Pavón is on the back of regaining good sensations in 2017 alongside Ana Catarina Nogueira. Her three quarter final appearances and good performances went to prove that she's not far off her best standard. Pavon has shown courage again to call up a young player to form a duo with her and by accepting to move to the backhand court. In 2017, Valeria finished just outside the Master Final with a total of 1365 points and ranked 19th.

Paula José María Martín was one of the pleasant surprises last year at the age of 21, showing her powerful left handed shots. Quick, intuitive and aggressive, Paula Jose Maria played alongside Elena Ramírez throughout a large chunk of the season and ended the year with Ana Fernández de Ossó. Her 725 points left her placed 39th in the World Padel Tour rankings. Her main challenge will be to reach the quarter finals, a round that eluded her in 2017.
