Uri Botello suffers season-ending injury

Uri Botello will not be able to compete for the rest of the 2021 season as the 33-year-old is out with a meniscus injury.

The Spaniard, who currently sits 28th in the World Padel Tour rankings, took to social media to announce his injury. In his statement, he revealed he has been playing through the pain in his knee for the last two months but has now decided to get treatment in order to prevent aggravating his meniscus.

Botello then wrote he will be back on the 20 by 10 in five to seven weeks, thanking his partner Ramiro Moyano for his support during their time as team-mates.

The drive, who reached the semi-finals at the Marbella Master earlier this year, vowed to return for the start of the 2022 season.

World Padel Tour would like to wish the player a speedy and healthy recovery. Fuerza Uri!
