Temporary partners Federico Chingotto and Martin Di Nenno have beaten two-seed Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia at the Estrella Damm Barcelona Master Final 2022 on Friday as they won 6-3 1-6 6-1.
Because Chingotto and Di Nenno are both traditional drive players, few fancied the Argentinians to upset the two-seed in Gutierrez and Tapia.
They now advance to the semi-finals, Chingotto playing his first-ever one in the Master Final as he lost in the first round in the previous three years.
Gutierrez and Tapia have announced their split after the defeat, bringing their partnership to an end after a year and three months.
