Gemma and Lucia did what favourites do and took the initiative of the match, deciding what happened and when it did on court. Cata and Bea's resistance worked until the fifth game, when Gemma and Lucia broke. Pablo Aymá's players brought out their repertoire of shots and took the first set, with Sainz showcasing her exquisite placement of shots and Triay wowed the fans with her magic. Another break in the eighth game gave them the set at 6-2 in 44 minutes. Tenorio and Gonzalez didn't put up as much of a resistance in the second set. Gemma and Lucia swtiched up another gear, with Gemma Triay leading the way. The second set was one way traffic and they won 6-1 to set up a semifinal with the Sanchez Alayeto sisters.
