Thursday's Estrella Damm Menorca Open 2022 round of 16 saw three of the top eight seeds knocked out of the tournament.
In several shock results, the debut tournament of Mike Yanguas and Paquito Navarro ended early, while two other new couples did go through to the quarter-fianls.
On centre court, two-seed Sanyo Gutiérrez and Agustín Tapia were again made to sweat, but they did win in three sets.
