There are less than five days to go for the eighth event of the season on the World Padel Tour to get underway. It's time for the Cervezas Victoria Mijas Open 2018. The draw for this event took place today in Madrid with Lorena Alonso and Virginia Riera extracting the names out of the hat.
Prequalifying will begin at the Club Cerrado del Águila on Sunday the 5th of August. Qualifying ends on Tuesday the 7th of August and, after that, it's time for the main draw on centre court at the Recinto Ferial de la Cala de Mijas. The draw has left us with some mouth-watering clashes from the very first round, such as Franco Stupaczuk and Cristian Gutiérrez against a hugely talented yet new pairing in Germán Tamame and Godo Díaz. On paper, perhaps the most even and attractive match is Nacho Gadea and Aday Santana versus José Rico and Víctor Ruiz. The first match for Juan Cruz Belluati and Juan Lebrón won't be a walk in the park as they take on Adrián Allemandi and Javier Garrido. The other outstanding match is between Juan Mieres - Miguel Lamperti and Pablo Lijó - Maxi Grabiel. The top four seeds make their debut on Wednesday the 8th. Here is the full draw:
