Looking ahead to the start of the 2019 on the World Padel Tour, we will attend the launch of a pair of experienced players who want to plant a battle against the best players on the planet. A duo "great reserve of 81", we refer to Francisco "Chico" Gomes and Germán Tamame. A binomial that will combine power, definition and generosity in the effort to get as far as possible.
Francisco "Chico" Gomes (Porto Alegre, Brasil. 07/06/1981)
During the last year 2018, the trajectory of "Chico" Gomes was marked mainly by the competitive coexistence with two fellow travelers. Ernesto Moreno, with whom he started after completing the 2017, and Federico Quiles. It would be with this last one with which the Brazilian player would achieve his best results of the campaign. Gomes and Quiles signed 2 appearances in the quarterfinals. The first in Valladolid, after eliminating the numbers 1, Bela and Lima, and in the last Master of the regular season in Buenos Aires. Gomes would end the year with the young Javier Garrido, occupying the 45th position in the list of entries. A hardworking competitor and capable of adapting to almost any game condition.
Germán Dario Tamame (Trenque Lauquén, Buenos Aires, Argentina. 12/01/1981)
In 2018, Tamame would start next to Matías Marina. The Argentine would play next to Marina until the knee injury of the player of Mar del Plata, which would end his season. A short journey with Godo Díaz, would give way to a reunion on the track with Nacho Gadea, with whom he had signed a remarkable season in 2017, a Challenger title and the return to the final tables, indicated that Tamame had recovered his padel and his trust. However, in 2018 he could not repeat the remarkable results of the previous season, finding the eighth finals of the big events as a sports roof. In search of that version of firm and great competitor, the reverse of Trenque Lauquen, faces a new season with the intention of making the recipe work as soon as possible.
