Godo Díaz's injury prevented him and Luciano Capra from taking on recente semifinalists at the Open de Sevilla, Maxi Grabiel and Ramiro MoyanoThe player from Buenos Aires suffered a calf injury when the score was 6-3, 1-3 to the duo from La Plata.

Fernando Poggi and Álvaro Cepero needed three sets to oust Alejandro Ruiz Granados and Sebastian Nerone. They won 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 in a match that took over two hours.


Despite the support for local player Borja Yribarren, who lined up alongside Juan Manuel Vazquez, they ended up going out 6-2, 6-1 against Agustín G. Silingo and Adrián “Tito” Allemandi in one hour and 18 minutes.

Madrid duo Raúl Díaz and Raúl Marcos defeated Gerard Company and Matias Nicoletti 6-3, 3-6, 7-5. They now have the daunting task of facing Fernando Belasteguin and Pablo Lima.

The session came to an end at the coliseum with one of the clashes of the day. Federico Quilesplaying once again with Juan Martín Díazput on a magnificent display to get the better of Gabriel Reca and Juan Lebrón. A match that took just over 90 minutes and ended with a 6-0, 7-6 scoreline.

The last place up for grabs in the round of sixteen at the Coruña Sports Centre went to Javier Ruiz and Uri Botello who knocked out Ernesto Moreno and Ruben Rivera by 6-3, 7-6.
