Things got off to a brilliant start for Quiles and Gomes, as they broke Juan Lebrón through Quiles's speed at the net and Gomes's effort in defence. This advantage evaporated in the fourth game as Lebro grew into the game. The tide had turned and Severino Iezzi's players took control of the match by breaking in the sixth game to go 4-2 up. This would be a decisive advantage in the set, as Belluati and Lebron won the set 6-3 in 43 minutes.In the second set, Lebron and Belluati kept the momentum going and broke in the first gae. The 'Juans' dealt a defintive blow in the seventh game with another break that put them 5-2 up. They didn't hesitate on serve and closed out the match 6-2 in an hour and 15 minutes.
