Barberá Indoor Padel will decide which pairings can keep the dream alive. Eight pairings that hope to reach the main draw of the first tournament of the year. The first pairing that knew it would be in the last round of qualifying was Aitana García Román and Juncal Aizpurua who got a W.O. after their opponents Filipa Mendonça and Marta González de la Fuente couldn't take to the court for medical reasons. Their opponents for a place in the draw will be Cristina Gomis and Nuria Rovira who got the better of Iris Donate and Arantxa Soriano by winning 6-4 / 6-4.The Spanish/French pairing of Sara Pujals and Alix Collombon got off to the best possible start together after a hard fought 5-7 / 6-0 / 6-2 win over Marina Pinacho and Ariadna Cañellas. It was the Lyon player's debut on the professional tour and they will take on Andreína de los Santos and Alba Pérez Momha who beat Ana Alicia Seijas and Raquel Segura 7-6 / 7-5. This was also the first match together for the number one Uruguayan player and the youngster from Malaga.Anna Cortiles and Sofia Araújo got off to a tremendous start together with a convincing 6-1 / 6-2 victory over Jessica Castelló and Marina Martínez Lobo. Their opponents in the final round of qualifying came out of the clash between Eva Gayoso - Nicole Traviesa and María Virginia Riera - Lorena Alonso. Despite playing for the first time together, Riera and Alonso weren't surprised by the more experienced Gayoso and Traviesa. There was only one break in the first set which ended 7-5 and in it was plain sailing in the second, which they took 6-1.It was a pleasant start also for Silvia López Vidal and Esther Lasheras. Their blend of youth and experience helped them to win 7-5 / 6-1 against Inés Muñoz and Melania Merino. Lopez/Lasheras will have to fight for a place in the draw against another pairing that got their journey together off to a winning start: Teresa Anillo and Estela Francés won 6-4 / 6-4 against sisters Carla and Sabela Barciela Rodríguez. The action returns tomorrow at Barberá Indoor Padel where the four final matches will all take place at 10:00h.Disfruta de las mejores imágenes de la jornada en nuestra aquí en nuestra galería.
