The die is cast at the Monte-Carlo Padel Master

The draw is out for the most exquisite tournament of the season, the Monte Carlo-Padel Master.

Said draw has taken place at midday today for the event in the Principality, which will be the ninth event of the season on the World Padel Tour calendar and the second international tournament.

Pre qualifying will get underway this Thursday, the 4th of August, at 17:00 at the Padel 2.0 club in Mostoles. The field will battle for a place in the main draw in Monte Carlo until Saturday the 6th of August and only four will achieve it.

Returning to the main draw, the luck has left very exciting encounters from the first round. This prestigious Master will also be an opportunity to gauge the evolution of the new pairings that have just teamed up.

Once more, the explosion of youth and experience of Gaby Reca and Juan Lebrón will take part in one of the most exciting matches in the opening round. They will take on the newly formed partnership of Federico Quiles and Javier Concepción.

The world number ones and recently crowned Gran Canaria Open champions, will make their debut in Monte Carlo in the last 32 against one of the few pairings to have taken one of the four sets they've dropped this season, Guga Vazquez and Borja Yribarren.

Their immediate pursuers and finalists in the Canary Islands, Sanyo Gutierrez and Paquito Navarro will fight for a place in the last sixteen against a qualifier.

Another of the duels which seem interesting on paper will be between the number three seeds and two time finalists Matias Diaz and Maxi Sanchez against another recently formed partnership which reached the quarter finals at the Valladolid Open, Fernando Poggi and Álvaro Cepero.

There will be a women's draw for the first time in Monaco. An important step for the women's game, where the draw has also taken place this midday.

Marta Ortega will line up alongside her new partner and rising star Ariana Sánchezwho will face Sara Pujals and Maite Gabarrus in their second tournament together.

Former partners Lorena Alonso and Nela Brito could face off for the first time since breaking up. Before that, Alonso will play for the first time alongside Noelia Marquez in La Nucia and Brito will do the same with Tamara Icardo.

The number one pairing, Majo and Mapi Sanchez Alayeto won't get their campaign underway until the last sixteen and will do so against the winners of the clash between a qualifier and the semifinalists in Mallorca, Teresa Navarro and Lucia Martinez.

Salazar-Marrero will start off against the winners of Nuria Rodriguez-Ana Fernandez de Osso vs. Esther Lasheras-Elena Ramirez.

The Monte-Carlo Padel Master is one of the most awaited events of the season and is a huge step in the internationalization of this sport as it makes its second stop in the Principality. Monaco will welcome the stars of the World Padel Tour from the 5th to the 11th of September.
