Tamara Icardo and Sandra Hernández form a new partnership for this season

The women's tour is getting ready for an even more competitive year in 2019. A tough challenge which the players are preparing for by forming new partnerships, such as Sandra Hernández and Tamara IcardoTwo young players looking to break through and show that all the hype surrounding them a couple of years ago was justified.

Sandra Hernández (Palma de Mallorca, Spain. 31/10/1986)

The Majorcan player lined up alongside Verónica Virseda in 2018. Her season was marred by injury and she only managed to feature at 10 tournaments, never getting beyond the last sixteen. A feat she did achieve in 2017 with Ana Fernández de Ossó and that's something she wants to repeat this year.

Tamara Icardo (Valencia, Spain. 10/10/1995)

Icardo started last season with Lucía Martínez and then continued with Marta Talaván before ending the year with Sara Ruiz Soto. This talented and elegant backhand court player struggled for confidence last year and didn't achieve the results she was aiming for. Her target for 2019 will be to rediscover her padel.
