Starlets Yanguas and Nieto unite to form 2022 pairing

Spaniards Miguel Yanguas and Jorge Nieto have announced they will team up for the 2022 World Padel Tour season.

Two promising prospects in the male Circuit, Mike Yanguas and Coki Nieto are both tipped to make the very top of the standings in the future.

Yanguas & Nieto: Plenty of promise

Nieto's stand-out achievement in 2021 was making the Areco Malmö Padel Open 2021 semi-finals, making four quarter-final appearances as well.

The 23-year-old also managed to win the Tau Cerámica Alfafar Challenger 2021 and the Tau Cerámica Calanda Challenger 2021 in what was his most successful season to date.

Still a teenager, Yanguas has already shown flashes of greatness at times. Starting 2021 alongside Iván Ramírez, the Spaniard switched to Argentinian veteran Miguel Lamperti mid-season.

Dubbed Los Mikes for their shared first names, Lamperti and Yanguas turned heads at the CDMX Open when they reached the semi-finals to round the year off in style.

Yanguas also won the Tau Cerámica Albacete Challenger 2021 with Javi Garrido. Lamperti was not being able to play as he was a top 16 player at the time.

With Nieto just 23 years of age and Yanguas 19, this pair has all the promise and potential in the world. Having shown flashes of greatness already in previous seasons, it is now up to them to string results together and take World Padel Tour by storm in the upcoming season.

Could they prove to be the break-out stars of 2022? Only time will tell!
