Orsi/Godallier vs Pérez/Aguilar

Number one seed of qualifying Carolina Orsi and Léa Godallier started the matchday as they faced Agueda Pérez and Noemi Aguilar.

The Italian-French tandem of Orsi and Godallier were much the better side from start to finish, breaking at will in both sets to win via a double 6-2.

They will face recent Torrent Challenger winners Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto in the round of 32

Cánovas/Guinart vs  Casali/Fassio

Next up, three-seed Noa Canovas and Marina Guinart, who looked to advance against Carlotta Casali and Martina Fassio.

A one-sided first set, Cánovas and Guinart sped through 6-1 to have a foot in the round of 32.

While the second set was a lot closer, Italians Casali and Fassio could not force a final set. It finished 6-1 6-4, with Claudia Fernández and Julieta Bidahorria awaiting in the round of 16.

Sharifova/Martínez vs Soriano/Martínez

Next, Russian ace Ksenia Sharifova and her Spanish counterpart Patricia Martínez, who looked to make it back-to-back main draws.

In front of them, Spaniards Arantxa Soriano and Araceli Martínez, who could do little to stand in their way.

Sharifova and Martínez led via example from start to finish, and beat their rivals 6-2 6-3 to make it into the round of 32. Sofia Saiz and Bea Caldera await them.

Reiter/Blanco vs Alonso/ Velasco

Finally, Alicia Blanco and former number one Cecilia Reiter took to the court, taking on Lorena Alonso and Jimena Velasco.

Blanco and Reiter looked for their first main draw together, and did so with a dominant display.

The Spanish-Argentinian tandem won convincingly, sending Alonso and Velasco home via a 6-2 6-3.

Nuria Rodríguez and Eli Amatriaín are their next obstacles in the round of 32.
