Six dates for the season of the Challenger revolution

The Challenger tournaments of the World Padel Tour, presented at the beginning of the week and whose operation will be carried out by the Ultimate Padel Company, present news and a calendar for 2021.

The competition will start on June 14 at the Parque de Albacete Pavilion and will add 6 events to the calendar for the first time since the existence of the category. The men's draw presents as a great novelty the possibility of registering players from the 12th place in the ranking, thus giving access to 4 more players than until now.

Thus, the complete calendar of the WPT Challenger would be:

• PUERTO DE SANTA MARÍA CHALLENGER – July 12-18

Venue: Plaza de Toros del Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz)

• LA NUCÍA CHALLENGER – August 9-15

Venue: Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano (Alicante)

• CALANDA CHALLENGER – August 23-29

Venue: Plaza de Toros de Calanda (Teruel)

• SEGOVIA CHALLENGER – From September 27 to October 3

Venue: Pabellón Deportivo Pedro Delgado (Segovia)

• ALFAFAR CHALLENGER – October 11-17

Venue: SUMA Fitness Club Alfafar (Valencia)

The evolution of the WPT Challenger is also transferred to the court “Set Up” that will transform its image towards a powerful combination of blue and orange, housing a spectacular Premium area, as well as a splendid commercial area to the delight of sponsors and fans.

As far as the competition itself is concerned, participation in the WPT Challenger tournaments will be limited to 96 couples in the men's category and 56 couples in the women's category. The renewed WPT Challenger will add in the race for the Final Master dispute. The score awarded to players based on the round they reach in the WPT Challenger tournaments for the 2021 season is as follows:

In this way, the events ensure a whole renewed experience for both players and fans and sponsors. From June to the end of October, the new stage of the Challenger tournaments will be a reality.
