The men’s Malmö Padel Open semi-finals kicked off with Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustín Tapia squaring off against number ones Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón.

Galán and Lebrón broke at the very first time of asking, until their Argentinian opponents found a way back to make it 2-2. Sanyo and Tapia would go on to win four of the next five games, taking the first set 6-3.

Responding like true number ones, the second set saw some epic rallies, but it was Galán and Lebrón who edged it 4-6 to force a decider.

The Swedish crowd were treated to a masterclass in Padel from all four players in the third set, which eventually eeked into a tie break.

Gutiérrez had saved his best Padel for last, dominating the tie break. Galán and Lebrón were beaten 6-3, 4-6, 7-6, exiting the Malmö Padel Open at the semi-final stage.
