Dominant Sánchez and Josemaría conquer Estrella Damm Master Final 2021

The last day of the 2021 World Padel Tour season started with the women's final of the Estrella Damm Master Final 2021. In it, two-seed Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría faced Marta Marrero and 2020 Master Final winner Lucía Sainz at a packed Madrid Arena.

Three of the four players on the court had previously won a Master Final, and the first set started with both pairs hardly committing any mistakes.

However, Sánchez and Josemaría were able to take a break in the fifth game to go 3-2 up. Ariana and Paula got one hand on the trophy after taking the first set 6-4 after 48 minutes.

Coaches Miguel Sciorilli and Juan Alday saw their players continue the second set similarly to the first. Sánchez and Josemaría were again making it difficult to keep service for their veteran opponents.

In the third game, Josemaría and Sanchez got a break in their favor and took a 3-1 lead. The two former number ones Marrero and Sainz tried to hold on but could not stop the bleeding, and were broken again. Paula Josemaría and Ariana Sánchez have become the youngest pair to become Maestras as they won the final 6-4 6-2 to become the Maestras of 2021 in the Estrella Damm Master Final!
