Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay have started their Estrella Damm Barcelona Master Final 2022 in fine form as the Spaniards fired past debutants Barbara Las Heras and Veronica Virseda on Friday at the Palau Sant Jordi.
The Spaniards won 6-0 6-3 and advance to the semi-finals, still fighting to finish 2022 as the number ones of the world as they did the year prior.
Salazar and Triay started the match by winning seven games in a row and never looked in trouble against Las Heras and Virseda, who played their first Master Final after a break-out season.
With a record-breaking 11 titles in the bag in 2022, Triay and Salazar now want to finish the year off in style.
