A new World Padel Tour pairing has been formed as Javi Rico and Javi Ruiz have announced their coming together effective immediately.
Both players had separated from their respective pairs following the Estrella Damm Alicante Open 2022 and will now be rowing in the same direction.
They will make their partnership debut this very week at the Tau Cerámica Albacete Challenger 2022, where they are the second seed.

Rico and Ruiz in 2022
Javi Rico and Momo González had had tremendous success in their time as a duo. Most notably, they reached the Santander Open final in 2021, as well as winning two Challenger events.
In 2022, however, they did not have the start they would have wanted. They never got past the round of 16 and crashed out in the round of 32 in Alicante after Rico suffered an injury.
Javi Ruiz and Lucho Capra had come together at the start of 2022. While looking solid, they never had the gunpowder to get among the final four in the semi-finals.
After four tournaments, they pulled the plug on the project, Capra returning to his 2021 partner Maxi Sánchez.
