Pre qualifying gets the Estrella Damm Alicante Open underway

The second tournament of the season on the World Padel Tour is officially underway with men's pre qualifying. The Estrella Damm Alicante Open kicked off at the Club de Campo de Alicante where 64 pairings fought it out to try and reach the next round. Only 8 pairings will survive through to qualifying (which will take place on Tuesday the 3rd of April at the Centro de Tecnificación de Alicante). Some experienced pairings, who have even made appearances in main draws, featured, such as Diogo Rocha and Antonio Luquewho won their first match 6-1 / 6-4 against Víctor Sáenz and Jaime Menéndez. Rafael Méndez and Diego Ramos are also still alive after having won their encounter against Austrian duo David Alten and Christoph Krenn by 6-4 / 6-3.

The competition continues this Monday at 10:00h at the Club de Campo de Alicante with the second round matches from pre qualifying.
