The Master Final 2018 began with the first match of the women's event between the number 5 and 3 pairings: Eli Amatriaín and Patty Llaguno versus Lucía Sainz and Gemma Triay.Gemma and Lucia dominated at the start and broke at the beginning to go up 3-0, proving that they were eager to get the job done quickly. Lucia and Gemma reacted and took six games on the trot to win the set 6-3 and force a decider.The third set had the tighest start of the lot at the Madrid Arena. Patty and Eli did break away at one stage, going up 3-1. But they were pegged back to 5-5. Amatriain and Llaguno struck one last and definitive blow and won 7-5 to reach the semi finals of the Master Final 2018.
