Paquito and Sanyo overcome every hurdle to reach another final

Semifinals of the Portugal Padel Master. Packed stands in the Estadio Nacional to witness one of the best matches in modern day padel. Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrez versus Maxi Sánchez and Mati Díaz

Mati and Maxi strike first

The number 2 and 3 pairings fought for a place in the final. Four players looking to find their best version on court. The hostilities began in the fifth game. At 2-3, Mati and Maxi claimed their first break of the match, but they couldn't consolidate on serve in the following game and Paquito and Sanyo made it 4-4. It was crunch time in the set and the number 3 seeds struck first. Mati and Maxi held their serve and broke to win 6-4.

Paquito and Sanyo react

The second set was wide open, as no one grabbed complete control of the match early on. Paquito and Sanyo were in no mood to allow the match to slip away. The set could have gone to any of the two pairings but at 5-5, the number two seeds put their foot down on the throttle and won 7-5, forcing a third set.

A third set to decide the winner

The third set would decide who reached the final. Ramiro Choya's men took a while to get into the swing of things but were at the best when it mattered the most. They broke at 1-1 and strolled into a 3-1 lead. Severino Iezzi's men always put up a fight and would do so right until the end. But the Andalusian and the Argentine also know how to get through difficult moments and they stayed strong right until the end to win 6-4. Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutierrez reach the final of the Portugal Padel Master.
