Paquito and Sanyo, conquer the Valladolid Open without stepping onto court

Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrez took the Valladolid Open 2017 title but were left with a bittersweet taste as they couldn't play their final against the world number ones Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo LimaThe Argentine player suffered a knee injury and was ruled out of what would have been their fifth final of the season. Despite his efforts, the medics advised him not to play because of a knee injury that could have got worseBefore the final, Fernando Belasteguin took to the microphone to explain his situation and thank the fans for their support. Accompanied on court by Pablo Lima and their opponents, Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutierrez, everyone wished him a sppedy recovery. A bitter ending for the winners in Valladolid who won their third title of the season. As they admitted themselves, it's not the way anyone wants to win. Belasteguin received the award for the best player of the tournament.

Sanyo and Paquito took part in an exhibiton with Pablo Lima and local player Rafa Mendez to offer the fans something in return.
