Two of the best players on the planet, Sanyo Gutiérrez and Maximiliano Sánchez, will reunite in 2018. A pairing that, on paper, will be one of the firm candidates to put an end to Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima reign at the top. The two "masters" from San Luis have cemented the partnership that put in big performances and won titles in the past. And they're as motivated as ever in their reunion.
Daniel Gutierrez is on the back of his best season as a professional, having won 5 titles with Paquito Navarro in 2017, fighting for the number one spot until the penultimate tournament of the season, and racking up a total of 11965 points and ending up third in the rankings. A magician, a genius, a unique player with the objective of making it to the top. After the Master Final, Sanyo put an end to a brilliant spell of two seasons with Navarro to take on new challenges. In 2018, he will no longer work under Ramiro Choya to work with Argentine coach Gustavo Pratto.
Meanwhile, Maxi Sánchez also ended his two year partnership with Matías Díaz after the final of the Estrella Damm Master Final. In those two years, he reached 9 finals and won two titles. The "Shark" is back with the player who he launched his career alongside. The man from Villa Mercedes has set himself very ambitious targets and wants to reach them in 2018. A new version of the duo from San Luis that is aiming to dominate this sport in the new season.
This is how Maxi Sanchez announced his new partner for this year:
