Gemma Triay closed the year in a big way The final of the Villa de San Javier Challenger saw Víctor Ruiz and Willy Lahoz looking for their first title after coming together this week take on Pablo Lijó and Maxi Grabiel, who have already won a Challenger in 2018.In the first set, with the sun setting on the Plaza de España, Victor Ruiz and Pablo Lijó, on either side of the net, were the main actors with their powerful play. Lijó and Grabiel broke in the eighth game and held out to win 6-3.Lijó and Grabiel broke at the start of the second set to lead 2-0. Victor Ruiz had the local fans cheering him on and that pushed him to play his best padel to get it back to 2-2. There was another break in the fifth game for Ruiz and Lahoz, and this time they were solid on serve and went on to win 6-3 and lift the Villa de San Javier Challenger 2018 title.
