The third fascinating quarter final to take place at the Gran Canaria Arena pitted together the number three pairing on the World Padel Tour, Mati Díaz and Maxi Sánchez, and the new hope of Argentina: Fede Chingotto and Juan Tello.

Mati and Maxi tested their opponents out at the start of the match. Chingotto and Tello are getting more and more used to playing these kinds of matches and they weren't going to make it easy for Severino Iezzi. Diaz and Sanchez broke in the seventh game and held onto their advantage to win the first set.

Tello and Chingotto arrived in Gran Canaria aiming to continue fighting for a place at the top end of the rankings. With the objective of repeating their semifinal appearance from Valladolid, they made life difficult for the 'Shark' and the 'Warrior' in the second set. Iezzi's players pulled away again in the seventh game and held onto their serve to make it 5-3, but this time the number one Argentine pairing broke right back and forced a tiebreak. Not only would the set be decided but also the match as the world number three pairing won the tiebreak to advance to the final four. Mati Diaz and Maxi Sanchez will be in the semifinals.
