The dates for the inaugural LeDap Stockholm Open 2022 have changed as the event will take place later in the season, with further changes in the Challenger season having taken place as well.

Originally scheduled for late April, the first event in the Swedish capital has been moved back five months. It will now be held on 12-18 September, with both the men's and women's Circuits featuring.

The reason for the rescheduling is to allow for as many people as possible to be present during the tournament. With COVID-19 restrictions still in place in Sweden for the foreseeable future, the expectation is for the overall situation to be a safer one by September. This will hopefully allow for more fans to be able to experience the tournament first-hand.

The LeDap Stockholm Open 2022 will not be the only event in Sweden either in 2022, with the Malmö Padel Open being contested later in the year in November.

Changes to Challenger calendar

The changed date to the LeDap Stockholm Open 2022 is not the only change in the current season.

The WPT Valencia Challenger will be held October 31st-November 6th, the week before World Padel Tour travels to Malmö.

Finally, the first-ever Challenger Final will change hosts. Moving further south, it will now be the WPT Córdoba Challenger Final, although the dates, 1-4 December, are unchanged.
