Lebrón and Galán don't hesitate

The last semi-final of the day in Alicante saw Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan go up against Fede Chingotto and Juan Tello.

The number one pair, Lebron and Galan, were looking to make up for their disappointment in the Adeslas Madrid Open, and hoping to make the final here where their nemesis in Madrid, Alex Ruiz and Franco Stupaczuk, was waiting. It promised to be a match of explosive power and supreme technique, and so it proved from the start.

Lebron and Galan got an early break in the first set, and were able to follow up with another late on, breaking Juan Tello's serve to take the set 6-2 in 40 minutes. Chingotto and Tello came out strongly at the start of set two looking to change the dynamic of the match, but instead it was Lebron and Galan who raised their game to match them.

Lebron and Galan forged ahead once again, taking a 3-1 lead on a golden point with an hour played. The next game went to a golden point too, and once more the world's number one pair seized the initiative. At 5-2 up in set two, Lebron and Galan had the chance to break Juan Tello's serve to win the match.

That game also went to a golden point - and Lebron and Galan didn't hesitate. They will face Stupaczuk and Ruiz in the final of the Estrella Damm Alicante Open.
