Two-seed Paula Josemaría and Ariana Sánchez have won the Cascais Open 2022 following the retirement of Bea González at the start of the second set.
Josemaría and Sánchez were up 7-5 1-0 when the 20-year-old had to forfeit the match with a muscle injury in her right forearm.
It is the fifth title for the Spaniards and their second consecutive title after Malaga, pushing them closer to the number one seed.
