Godo Díaz and Álvaro Cepero, magic and talent come together

Amidst the shuffle in pairings for 2018, one of the standout pairings is the coming together of two players with bundles of magic such as Gonzalo "Godo" Díaz and Álvaro Cepero. After a good season in 2017 for both, they will come together in 2018 as they look for new objectives.

Gonzalo Díaz Sangiorgio ended a two year spell last season with Luciano Capra. In 2017 Diaz and Capra won two Challengers (Lisbon and Madrid) as well as reaching two semi finals at bigger tournaments. An excellent campaign that left them with 2815 points which left them ranked 13rd and qualified them for the Estrella Damm Master Final. A pure talent who also improved his fitness last season and wants to continue displaying his magic on court.

The player from San Fernando, Alvaro Cepero heads into 2018 on the back of his best season as a professional on the World Padel Tour. As well as winning a Challenger in Pilar de la Horadada and conquering the European Championships with Spain, Cepero made three semi finals and seven quarter finals alongside Aday Santana. A total of 2730 points which left them 15th in the rankings. A year that left him in his first Master. His progress and capacity to compete will be tested in 2018 alongside one of the most talented players on tour.
