Tenorio and Gonzalez had a couple of break point opportunities early on but Gemma and Lucia came out unscathed. This scare spurred them on and they broke a couple of times to win the first set 6-2. The second set followed a similar pattern, with Cata and Bea trying to respond to Gemma and Lucia's attacking game. There was, however, no response. The scoreboard read 3-1 and Triay and Sainz inched closer and closer to the semifinals. Gonzalez and Tenorio didn't take their few break point opportunities and that ended their hopes. Triay and Sainz won 6-1 in just over an hour and 8 minutes.
