Galán reigns supreme to win Menorca Open MVP

Joint-world number one Ale Galán has been crowned the men's Estrella Damm Menorca Open MVP for his performance in the final on Sunday.

After winning consecutive tournaments with his sparring partner Juan Lebrón, the number ones have looked nearly unbeatable of late.

Although they faced difficult opposition, they did not drop a single set in Menorca the whole tournament. The two Spaniards played Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno in the final once again. And once again, Galán and Lebrón came out on top, with the former shining in particular.

Galán seemed to get better with every point during Sunday's final at the Pavelló Menorca.

Winning the first set 6-3 against Navarro and Di Nenno, many expected a counter-punch from the Spanish-Argentinian duo in the second set. It never came, however, as Galán would not let them back in the game. He kept his foot on the gas along with Lebrón and saw out the set 6-4.

This gave them their second straight tournament win and their sixth overall this year.

A flawless game from a world class player, can any partnership stop Lebrón and Galán in 2021?
