Galán and Lebrón reach the finals with no mercy over Stupa and Ruiz

The first of the Estrella Damm Master Final 2021 men's semi-finals featured number ones Juan Lebrón and Alejandro Galán against four-seed Franco Stupaczuk and Álex Ruiz.

In a typically high-tempo match, both pairs were comfortable playing on the front foot and hitting one winner after the other. With just two break points in the first ten games, the set was still level and without a single break at 5-5.

In what turned out to be the final game Juan Lebrón and Alejandro Galán broke for the first time to win the opening act 7-5.

Onto the second set, where Stupa and Ruiz tried to bounce back. It was not to be however, and Galán and Lebrón found an early break at 2-1 in a love game.

The Spanish tandem was able to defend their service comfortably and broke again to win the match 7-5 6-2 in an hour and 20 minutes. The fight to retain number one status stays alive.
