Four places up for grabs, four chances of being in the main draw for the last time on the World Padel Tour this year. The first match was between Rafael Méndez - Diego Ramos and Gonzalo Rubio - Javier Garrido Gómez. The latter had been regular fixtures in recent main draws but they couldn't produce their best form against the Spanish/Uruguayan duo. Mendez and Ramos won the first set 6-2. In the second it was more of the same, as they won 6-2 once again. The second match was a clash between the Rico brothers (Javier and Jose): Javier Rico - Jorge Nieto versus Víctor Ruíz - José Rico. A tiebreak was needed in the first set, which went to Rico and Nieto. Ruiz and Rico reacted in the second set by winning 6-1. When they were up 2-0 in the third set, "Koki" Nieto picked up an injury when running off court to salvage a ball and that put an end to the match.Christian Fuster and Miguel Oliveira took on Jerónimo González Luque and Javier González Barahona with the objective of reaching the main draw in Bilbao. An intense, up and down affaire. The first set went to Fuster and Oliveira in a tiebreak. Their young opponents pulled things back in the second set (6-3). An exciting last set was decided by just one break. After over two hours, Fuster and Oliveira won 7-5 to qualify.Qualifying came to an end with Raúl Díaz and Raúl Marcos facing Diogo Rocha and Antonio Luque. Diaz and Marcos took the first break of the match and held on to win 6-3. They were spurred on by this in the second set, which they won 6-4 and booked a place in the main draw. The main draw of the final Open of the season begins this Wednesday at 10:00 at Frontón Vizcaya:
