Five reasons not to miss the Adeslas Madrid Open 2021

The countdown for the start of the 2021 season in World Padel Tour is over. From April 04 to 11, Madrid will once again become the epicenter of padel with the dispute of the Adeslas Madrid Open 2021. A long-awaited start that not a single fan of the best padel in the world should miss. There are lots of them, but we offer you five weighty arguments to not miss an appointment with magic, spectacle and passion. A high voltage week awaits us!

Season premiere

Almost four months later, the official World Padel Tour competition starts up again. A long wait for players, professionals and fans that is coming to an end. A new year begins with new challenges, objectives, venues and surprises.  The best padel in the world sets course for the longest and most nurturing campaign in its history. An exciting journey begins in Madrid.

Men's new paths

At its premiere, the men's draw presents a huge number of new pairs, with brilliant names forming ambitious projects. Sanyo Gutiérrez and Fernando Belasteguín, Agustín Tapia and Pablo Lima, Paquito Navarro and Martín Di Nenno are just some of the glittering new pairs that will seek to sit on the throne with the 2020 number ones, Juan Lebrón and Ale Galán. A great incentive for a season where almost nothing will be the same.

New women's couples

A couples dance awaits at the beginning of the competition in the women's draw, changes that affect the previous number ones such as Gemma Triay, who will play with Ale Salazar, and Lucía Sainz, who will do the same with Bea González. In addition, Paula Josemaría will share destiny with Ari Sánchez, while for the first time in 9 years, we will not see Patricia Llaguno (who will play with Virginia Riera) or Eli Amatriaín (who will be Sofía Araujo's partner) together. Endless novelties to compete alongside repeating pairs such as Marta Marrero and Marta Ortega, the twins Sánchez Alayeto or the everlasting Carolina Navarro and Cecilia Reiter. The fight for the female throne starts more equalized than ever.

The passion of the fans

It could not be a full premiere witout having been able to count with the presence of the fans in the stands. With a reduced capacity, with marked anti-covid protocols and with the relevant safety distance, but without losing a bit of the passion for the best padel in the world. A lucky few will be able to experience the start of the 2021 course first-hand and see their idols in action.

Wizink Center

A luxurious scenario will host the decisive rounds of the Adeslas Madrid Open 2021: the Wizink Center, one of the most modern, functional and spectacular pavilions in Europe. Its enormous space and modularity will offer the possibility for fans to enjoy an exciting live experience and at the same time preserve the current sanitary protocol to the maximum. An incomparable setting to start this exciting season.
