The World Padel Tour season is made up of 19 ranking events, a marathon in which every match, set and game is important. But, who played the most matches last season? Which member of the World Padel Tour has felt those pre-match nerves the most? The answer could come as a surprise to more than one person.

The statistics show that the player that played the most matches in 2016 was Portugal's Diogo Rocharanked 68th in the World Padel Tour standings, with 63 matches, 146 sets and 1382 games played. Rocha, who made history as the first Portuguese player in the history of the World Padel Tour to reach the main draw of a tournament, took part in 18 out of a possible 19 tournaments, only missing out on the Monte-Carlo Padel Master and including all four Challenger events.

In this particular ranking for 2016 we can also find the number 1 pairing, Pablo Lima and Fernando Belasteguín with 59 matches played, of which they only lost two. The number two pairing, Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrezcomplete the top 5 with 57 matches.
