The inaugural Danish Padel Open 2022 is now officially underway as the men's pre-qualifying came and went on Sunday at the PadelPadel club in Odense.
A lot of local players were in action as well as other Scandinavians with varying levels of success.

Fran Ramírez and Miguel González took on Ricardo Martínez and Swede Carl Knutsson. It finished in straight sets as Ramírez and González won 6-2 6-4.
Pedro Meléndez and Cristobal García beat Pablo Cardona and Emilio Chamero after an incredible grudge match. A three-set epic, it finished 5-7 7-6(5) 6-3 to the Spaniards.
Alonso Rodríguez and his new partner Borja Yribarren took on Swedes Albin Olsson and Gustav Eriksson, and had few troubles as they won with a dominant double 6-1.
Luiz Pozo and Pablo González were also through to the qualifying stages as they came out victorious after their three-set effort against Pedro Vera and Aitor García Bassas. It ended 6-7(5) 6-4 7-6(5).
The relatively new pair of Ignacio Vilariño and Jose María Mouliaa were much too strong for Scandinavians Daniel Appelgren and Viktor Stjern, winning 6-4 6-3.
Jaime Menéndez and Adrián Ronco caused a slight upset on Sunday when they took down Mario Ortega and Italian Matías Nicoletti 6-4 6-2.
Two Javis Javier Navarro and Javi Puerto beat Danes Johannes Lindmeyer and Matthias Wunner only dropping three games total. They won 6-3 6-0.
Finally, Alvaro Melendez and Enrique Goenaga wiped away Juan Martínez and local Oscar Sebber 6-0 6-1.
