Three-seed Arturo Coello and Fernando Belasteguin will not compete in the Telcel Huawei Mexico Open 2022 as Coello has withdrawn with injury.

Another couple, Javi Rico and Javi Leal, will also miss the final Open of the season as Leal suffered a leg injury in the Buenos Aires Padel Master.

For Coello and Bela, who lost Sunday's final in Argentina to Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan, it will mean they will qualify for the Estrella Damm Barcelona Master Final as the number three seed.

They had almost closed the gap to Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia in the two-slot. The Spanish-Argentinian tandem could still finish 2022 as the two-seed, depending on Gutierrez and Tapia's result in Mexico.

For Leal and Rico, it means their season is over, with both players falling short of Master Final qualification.
